The Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) Chief Executive Officer Sylvia Rosenberger has announced her resignation, effective August 14, 2015.

“When I first set foot inside the Downtown Women’s Center I found an oasis on Skid Row, where women could find a compassionate community to help them heal from often horrific life circumstances,” said Ms. Rosenberger. “I wish the organization continued success in the future and appreciate the opportunity to have served.”

Board President Donella Wilson thanked Ms. Rosenberger for her contribution to the organization and wished her the very best for the future.

“On behalf of the DWC Board of Directors, we are deeply grateful for Sylvia’s commitment to the Center,” said Ms. Wilson. “We are proud of DWC’s continued success in ending homelessness for women.”

The Board of Directors is working closely with DWC’s executive team to manage the transition, and the search for a new leader will be launched shortly. In the interim, Chief Program Officer Amy Turk will lead the executive team in partnership with Chief Development Officer Brooke Lykins and Chief Financial Officer Rafe Pery.
