7-Day Advocacy Challenge

day 1: introduction to women's homelessness
In Los Angeles, women are becoming homeless faster than men

Today’s Advocacy Challenge kicks off the week by looking at the reasons that women are at higher risk of experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles than men, as well as the unique challenges and barriers they face once unhoused. Gender disparities in employment, education, and income, as well as women’s increased vulnerability to domestic violence and family instability, are all driving this troubling trend. For women of color and women with non-binary gender identities, these experiences are only heightened.

Join the challenge TODAY to learn more about the systemic roots of women’s homelessness. Only by identifying the causes can we start to work towards the solutions, together!
