7-Day Advocacy Challenge

day 2: domestic violence & intimate partner violence
domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness for women

Today’s Advocacy Challenge builds upon the ideas introduced yesterday to explore why and how domestic violence (DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV) have become leading causes of homelessness for women across the country. Once unhoused, women are also at heightened risk of experiencing violence on the streets and in shelters. The immense emotional and physical trauma of these experiences then often combine to present a major barrier for many women women in accessing services and securing sustainable employment and housing.

Join the challenge TODAY to learn more about how and why we need to change our homelessness and DV systems and services to better serve survivors!
